This is one of my personal favorite rifles, along with the Parker-Hale Model 85, its just something about Parker-Hale rifles that I love. The C3 is a Parker-Hale Model 82 with a Kahles Helios ZF69 6x42 scope, the more recent C3A1 uses the same Unertl 10x scope that the U.S.M.C. has been using. This is a plain rifle based on the Mauser 98 action, but it simply shoots like a dream. The Model 82 has been used by many competition shooters and has won its fair share of matches. It is an extremely accurate rifle that was adopted in the 70's by the Canadian Army. The Model 82 was also adopted in Australia and New Zealand as well as the British Army where it is used as a target rifle for Cadets. I feel so highly about this rifle that I am tempted to move to Canada and join their Army as a sniper just to be able to shoot the rifle constantly! (Except the gun control laws in Canada prevent me from doing so!)
